Ah ha! I am back!
Well, the internet is back :-)
Either way, I can now share some pictures and anecdotes!
Hooray!
Well, in all honesty, some of these pictures were taken so long ago,
and I JUST finished level 2 of Jillian Michaels Shred...
So I am too exhausted to think of witty things to say.
BUT
I couldn't help myself, I just HAD to post!
So here is the first leg of my journey from Seattle to St Louis.
Ok, well, this picture ISN'T exactly on the way, but it was too cute not to post.
And it was our last trip to the library in Bellevue :-(
We got to stop in Portland and see a really good friend of ours from Orlando!
Love this chick! Seriously! She is super cool! In fact she was SO cool that we stayed an extra day with her, just because we didn't want to leave! She even gave Makayla a Minnie Mouse doll dressed up like Sleeping Beauty! (it should also be noted that she gave Makayla her FIRST Sleeping Beauty doll when she was still an infant!) So maybe we can credit HER with Mak's love of Sleeping Beauty? hmmm....
Here she is holding Oscar after bath time. I know, grainy picture, but you know the drill... still using my camera phone :-P
Amy DID have to leave for a couple hours and take a class, so we made her brownies while she was gone. Makayla didn't understand the concept of licking the bowl at first... but she caught on pretty quick ;-)
Then of course we HAD to keep going.
And may I just mention, that from Portland to Boise was the WORST leg of the trip.
Oscar has never been a big fan of riding in the car, and he does not cry himself to sleep.
So when he wants to scream... he can do it for HOURS!
Almost 7 to be exact, because that's how long it takes to get from Portland to Boise!
So I stopped in the middle to get gas, and let them run around at McDonalds.
Well, only one kid "ran" technically speaking...
The other one discovered french fries for the first time :-)
But they both had fun being out of the car for a while.
And that night we stopped and saw some MORE friends in Boise!
Michelle, Mike and their kids! It was GREAT! We hadn't seen them since Makayla was 4 months old! Man has she grown since then!
The great thing about my kids, is that they really REALLY love each other.
So even through Oscar screaming, Makayla would hold his hand and say
"it ok ah-ker, you ok!"
(that's how she sounds)
I am in awe and truly grateful for the kids I have.
Even with all the screaming, Oscar was still pretty good.
I mean he would go from screaming to smiling every time I took him out of his car seat.
And Makayla was pretty easy to please too.
Just some milk and her toys and she was good to go!
We ended up stopping in Idaho for a little over 2 weeks which was GREAT!
I got to spend SO much time with my family! And my Grandparents and Aunt were visiting too!
But I won't overwhelm you with too many pictures today.
Have a great day!
:-)
It's good to be back.
welcome back to the blogging world! you were missed!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah! You're back! It was good to see you, and good to have you back to blogging!
ReplyDeleteIt's so awesome to hear from you!! We drove to the beach today and Jackson screamed the whole way!! Luckily it was only an hour, but still sure is hard to hear! So glad you made it to St. Louis and love the pics!
