So here we are, back in DC and without Nicole.
We went to the National Zoo, just the kids and I.
I rode the train in and figured out which stops to use all on my own!
Then... we walked almost a mile in the WRONG direction!
So we turned around and walked back the RIGHT way but it was SO HOT!!!!
So we got ice cream along the way so the rest of the walk was not quite as painful ;-)
Then we spent the rest of the day at the zoo. We LOVED it!
Oscar really LOVES Panda bears so he was ecstatic to see a real panda, play on a statue and then we even bought a few little pandas for him to play with :-)
I do wish the zoo was a big circle, instead of walking all the way to one end, only to have to walk ALLthe way back!
Luckily we met a really nice mother and daughter halfway through our zoo trip and they gave us a ride to the other side of the zoo! We still had to walk to the train stop, but we picked up McDonalds to eat on the train, so that was pretty nice! (until my kids fell asleep on the train!)
Now it is time for the end of the summer goodbyes :-(
Here is Cooper and Oscar saying goodbye, we will miss them SO much!
Especially these two besties!
They've spent the last 2 summers together and still talk about each other all the time!
We love Tessa and are so excited that she will be on the East coast with us too!
We are planning a before-kindergarden shopping weekend meetup in NYC this fall!
So excited!!!!
And these cute little boys! We had so much fun getting to know them!
