Welcome to a long post, with lots of pictures.
All in less than a week.
Oh yeah, and welcome to St Louis!

We went out to eat at TGIFridays and let Makayla choose her own outfit to wear.
She is totally a girl after my own heart!
Love her.

This is a downtown portion of St Louis near the water.
Yes, real cobblestones and bricks.
I would NOT want to drive THOSE roads!

We really wanted to ride one of the Mississippi river boats,
But the river was too flooded the first day!

All of the ramps were completely covered in water!
I am interested to see what it looks like when the water is at a normal level!

Did you know that under the BIG Arch is a museum?
It's a HUGE museum too!
Here's a piece of it about baseball...

And even part about westward expansion starring Brigham Young!

Here's Makayla at the base of the Arch

And looking UP at the Arch!

We also went to the St Louis Zoo,
which, by the way, is HUGE!
And in the heat we've been having,
I STILL have not made it through the whole thing!

This is me, torturing Makayla as she tries to figure out how to lick her elbow!

And Makayla making Oscar laugh hysterically in the gift shop

The last day my Mom was here we called about the river level and THANKFULLY
it was down far enough for the river boats to be running!
HOORAY!
It was also the first and only day that it RAINED!
Luckily, the rain stopped in time for us to ride the boat, and then started back up later that day.
Thank you rain!
We rode the "Tom Sawyer"
After doing the play in High School,
I just love this picture!
I've been wanting 'rose colored glasses' for a long time now and I finally found what I think is the perfect pair. And Makayla claimed them :-P Silly girl!

Oscar is also starting to pull himself up on things! How cool is that!

We had so much fun this week!
It was so hard to drop Mom off at the airport :-(
Makayla kept asking me "where's grandma"
and for the next week and a half every time she heard an airplane
she would tell me "grandma's on the airplane"
We miss you Mom!
Thank you!
Aww... glad you had such a blast! ^_^ love the pics you have posted!
