One of my fondest memories of college (that's right... college) is my fist semester finals.
I lived with my sister in a small dorm room and our friend lived right across the hall.
After a very STRESSFUL week of finals (they WERE my first after all!)
We ordered pizza and made a HUGE blanket fort that took up our whole dorm room!
It was pretty much awesome.
We left it up for 2 days.
I could not wait to make blanket forts with my kids someday!
Tragically, I never really did, for over TWO YEARS!
Then, something snapped, and I knew they were ready, and I was beyond ready to make a fort!
It was pretty much awesome.
As awesome as I remember it being.
Makayla loved it so much she had to go grab all of her stuffed animals and dolls to join us!
We left it up all day.
It was great.
loved doing that as a kid! I tried to make one for landon last winter but he would get too upset when the blankets fell down or he couldn't figure out how to get out....hmmm.... either it was my fort making skills, or he just wasn't ready--or prob a little bit of both. :-) Great fort and it looks you all had a blast!
ReplyDeleteone of my MOST favorite activities as a kid! Looks like you all had a great time! Keep up all the great pics/posts! they always make my day! :) love ya lady
ReplyDeletelol, epic! I'm glad you have introduced them to the world of forts!
ReplyDeleteThis last semester, some friends and I built a cardboard fort out of the old closet boxes they had in Turner before they got the actual closets in... it was an epic fort. >:}
