Zion

We've lived in St George for a whole winter now, and have YET to go to Zion National Park
Even though EVERYONE and their dog (yes, even their dog) told us we needed to go.
So what better excuse than a friend visiting?
YEAH!

It was 60 degrees in St George. Lovely t shirt weather!
And COLD, SNOWY FREEZING in the park!
Can you believe it?
Here's Jordan throwing a giant snowball at me.
There it is, up in the right hand corner of the screen.

But lets face it, snow on the mountains = GOR-geous!

Here we are about to embark upon one of the many hiking trails at Zion.

Love this picture!
Love this girl!
Seriously, we had so much fun my face hurts from laughing!

The hike was pretty much, mountain on one side...
Cliff of death on the other!

So we carried the kids pretty much the entire time.
And now I have tennis elbow.
?
Yes, because my arm was constantly bent holding Oscar,
and stressed because I'm kind of clumsy.

So we found a cave to let the kids "climb" too
and give my poor tennis elbow a rest.

The view, the entire time was
BREATHTAKING!
AWE INSPIRING!
A-MAZ-ING!

Love this little guy!
I felt bad because all he wanted to do was run and play!
Until he actually tried running in the snow..
then he just wanted to be held and cuddled.

Here's Derek and his OH SO CUTE new g-friend Sharla.
She is DEFinitely a keeper! ;-)

We drove through a VERY cool tunnel too!
This is the view from the tunnel.

Us all packed in the truck inside the tunnel.

And that little hole in the side of the cliff...
is where the tunnel "window" is,
Where we were! How cool is that!

We only saw deer in the forest,

But they let us get pretty close to take a picture.

It was seriously a fun day!
Love hanging out with my family like that!

  1. Er, did I forget to mention that Zion is typically a frozen winter wonderland compared to St. George? Oops. You got some really good pictures--they make me want to go. It's been too long. :)

  2. Fun trip! Was this all in one day? And AWESOME that Jordan was able to be there!

I didn't send thank you cards to people who we were there with on Christmas. But I did send my family and Sam's parents thank you cards for housing us for so long!

  4. I have no idea what material Sam's shoes are made out of. That was such a weird/random question.
