The Water of Cancun

It just wouldn't be a vacation without swimming right? At least in our family! Makayla LOVES the water, maybe it's because we've been forcing her to swim since she was barely 2 months old! But, she loves it! And I LOVED swimming at the resort!
I loved the ocean view. The ocean water was actually warmer than the pool water if you can believe that!
Somedays the pool water was COLD!
But even with it being cold, she LOVED playing in the water with her Daddy!
Going down the water slides
(in case you can't tell, Jordan is behind her, he learned that he
couldn't really go down the slide with her after this one)
They had little ledges around all of the pools and it made a great safe area for Makayla to play!
There were pool bars where the only way to get to them was to swim up and sit on the stools
We practiced swimming and learning the breast stroke :-)
And sometimes we just sat and soaked in the sun and the beauty of where we were.
Makayla LOVES going down water slides! Whether they are small...
or big! She has no fear!
And the kids water park was PACKED with water slides for her to try! She went down every single one of these!
It was such a cool little water park! And the deepest part was only about a foot and a half!
I love this picture because a storm was rolling in (the only storm while we were there) and the sky just went from blue to dark SO fast!
Even Oscar loved the pool!
These are HIS little cloth swim diapers (I HIGHLY recommend buying cloth swim diapers! These were only $5 at Kelly's Closet and will last him all year, as opposed to paying $10 for a package of disposable swim diapers that you have to buy again and again! Makayla is still wearing the ones I bought for her last year -$7!- LOVE THEM!)
Back to the pool again!
