Downtown Seattle

I almost forgot! We went to downtown Seattle a couple of Sundays ago.
Just to see the sights and relax. It was so much fun!
We walked to the bay and looked out at the view.
There was a really neat alley full of graffiti too! Makayla looks so small next to that giant gorilla! I wonder how long it took someone to make that!

After wandering around for a while, we ended up at the Seattle Aquarium.
REALLY NEAT!
And full of so many fun things to do and try!
Not to mention all of the sea creatures!
Here is Mak getting "attacked" by an octopus in the kids section.

And what I think is the best sight ever. :-)
Jordan carrying Oscar in the back pack, with Makayla at his side.
What? Hands free, baby free mama? What is it like to not be carrying around all that extra weight you ask? Blissful. Thanks Jordan!

They also had a HUGE pile of scuba gear to try on!

Ok, so maybe Mak isn't QUITE ready for scuba diving...
she IS a little small for the equipment.

But with a little help from Daddy...

Sky & Jordan... ready to dive it!
And the workers actually let them stick their heads in one of the sea creatures tanks!
Too bad I missed out on that! HA!

Near the Space Needle there is a really neat little carnival full of rides, cotton candy and lots of screaming kids! And a wonderfully kind young man actually let Makayla ride the rocket for FREE! What a nice guy!

I thought it was just a little ride that would spin, but after the spinning started...
up she went...
then higher...
and finally to top it all off, it became a skewed circle, with one end HIGH and the other low, so she went UP and DOWN and UP and DOWN
FAST!
Her eyes were SO wide, and she had a white knuckle grip on the bar!
I think I was more scared than her though, because as soon as the ride ended I wanted to run up and grab her, she just sat with one arm back and smiled and said "wow"
Love this little adventurer.
No fear here!

  1. Looks like you had a fun day - what lucky kids to be able to experience so much in so many places!
