Makayla "mom, paint my toes please"
Me "not right now honey, mama's busy"
Makayla (sighing) "ok :-("
Then a flashback to baby Naomi to my mom "mom paint my toes please!"
MY mom "ok, sit down sweetie!"
How did my mom do it with so many kids?
And still able to do playtime and paint my nails? She is amazing. That's how.
Me to makayla "come here sweetheart I will paint your nails"
This makes her day.
Happy Mother's Day
I am amazed everyday that I am a Mom, how amazing my own mother is.
I am not even half of what she was/is and yet somehow my kids still love me!
She is so patient and loving and somehow got everything done during the day.
And there was always food in the cupboards.
Me, I'm always running out of butter!
She has always been my number one fan. There for every tryout, every play, no matter how small the part, or how silly the play, she would always tell me how amazing I was.
I blame my confidence in acting on her. She told me I was great.
She is a fantastic cook. She makes really amazing jewelry. She is a FABULOUS artist.
I have a million and one stories about how amazing she is and what an influence she has been on my life.
I still call her up when I need a hug, when I'm sick, or when I'm scared.
She was the first one to know I was pregnant with Makayla,
because I called her before I even took the test.
I love her more everyday.
ESPECIALLY since I became a mother and saw how hard it was,
and after she made it look so easy!
My mother-in-law became a second mother to me before Jordan ever even put a ring on my finger.
She knew before anyone else. She introduced me to family and friends as "Jordan's future wife"
I can talk to her about anything, especially when her son is driving me crazy!
She is the world's best mother-in-law.
No really, you think you have the best? You have nothing on MY mother-in-law.
She is super woman.
I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with Makayla.
From that second on, I became a mother, and she has loved me no matter what I do.
Jordan gets mad because when she is hurt, she just wants me.
But I'm her Mom.
What an amazing, outrageous thing to be!
I remember when Oscar came into our lives.
He made me a better mother.
Now I have two kids that look to me like I am super-mom.
They light up when I come near.
They smile when I hug them.
They call me Mom.
I love them more than they will ever know.
Happy Mother's Day.
That was so beautiful! Can I copy/paste it into my blog? I would change all the names of my kids!! :) Haha. Just kidding. How lucky we are to be moms!
