I should have been going to the Children's Museum a lot more this summer!
It was really neat, and just down the street too!
And the best part, there is SO much for Makayla to do!
Like a whole section devoted to playing with water.
She was pretty much in heaven.
A tree house that had a microscope with different specimens to look at.
Lots and LOTS of places for a girl who loves climbing!
A VERY brightly painted kids play area with little bird "houses"
And a big acorn ring full of pillows and stuffed animals.
I'm not sure if it was made to lay on, or jump on,
but Makayla was definitely doing the jumping!
And she LOVED the room full of household noisemakers!
The pots and pans drum set was her favorite!
A train table.
Lots of fun toys to play with...
To ride on...
To eat!
And the coolest ever GIANT LITE BRITE!
That was MY favorite part ;-)
Oscar was so excited he wouldn't hold still for a picture!
But there was also a big sand box too! You can ALMOST see it in the background.
And one of my favorite parts of the day...
Here's the story.
Makayla had a little tube that she was trying to fill up with water.
Except it was open on both ends.
It couldn't hold any water.
But that didn't stop her from trying to fill it and take it...
Over here...
To a different rock to pour it.
Except there was no water in her tube.
She kept doing it though.
4 times before I talked her into something else.
poor kid.
So funny though!
What an awesome place to go...that's why I would love living in a city, museums are so cool. I love how Oscar was a "specimen" and how when Makayla was pounding on those pots, her whole body was into it. Thanks for all the pictures, so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, how fun! Wish there was something like that in Driggs... maybe when my kids have kids we will catch up with the rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteDavid is my little brother. He doesn't have a blog to comment back on. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at taking pictures of the whole event! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I post the super long month posts for Alex, I feel really guilty. Because I wouldn't want to read that! But then my brothers told me it was the highlight of their month. So I have to keep doing it! Only one more month and then I will stop. I plan on stopping once he is a year old.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! You are such an awesome mom! Love ya. Oh, and when you comming up? We need to plan a time to hang out, my mother in law is supposed to be here this weekend too, so I'm thinking we should brainstorm, talk to your fam and see if there's a day when everyone is busy or something. I miss you, and I CAN'T WAIT to see you and the kids! :) love ya lady :)
