Pacific Science Center

We had so much fun our last week in Seattle after Jordan left!
We were trying to do as many things as possible to keep ourselves occupied,
so of course the Pacific Science Center was top on our list of "must-do's!"

Makayla always has fun there! One of her favorite things to do there?
The water table of course!

Oscar is even starting to get old enough to play there too!
He had a lot of fun riding the duck... until he toppled over! ;-)

Music is becoming a BIG thing with Makayla.
She makes up songs, carries around a "microphone" (flashlight) in her purse, she is AMAZING at the air guitar and she is even starting to pull out pots and pans for drums!
So the music room is heaven to her!

Thanks in part to her Father's love of Lego Blocks, Makayla is an avid builder too!

As always, the butterfly house was amazing!

Makayla even took this great picture using my phone!

hidden picture!

hot dogs on the terrace!

Makayla said that the dinosaur was "eating grass"
Not quite!

There is a new exhibit there called "circus"
It has all sorts of fun things to do and facts about the origins of the circus and certain performances! It was GREAT and it TOTALLY made me want to go to the circus with my kids!

Here's Makayla in the contortionists box.
She fits quite nicely though ;-)

She was pretty much amazed by the air blowing the ball into the air!
There was a really nice little boy who kept running and getting the ball for her when it would blow off the air tube!

Back to the water table!
This time we are prepared for spills with the water resistant vests they have!

Oscar had so much fun, he had to sleep some of it off.

This is one of my favorite things. It's a color changing pad, that reacts to heat.
So you can put your hand, face or foot on it and it will show up for a little bit!
It would be so cool to have a big wall like this!

Makayla was pretty into the bones too.
She even did a fairly decent job of matching them up with the right picture!

She said the skull was a monster, and the top part was it's hat.
Silly girl! She cracks me up!

We spent all day there!
It was a great escape from the normal day and really helped the time FLY BY!
I just LOVE the Pacific Science Center!
We'll miss it so much!

  1. How fun! We'll have to see if they have one in our area. What a blast!

  2. The camouflage picture is my favorite. First, because her head looks like it is floating. Second, because WHY would someone try to camouflage themselves in fabric with that pattern?! Awesome. I loved this post.

  3. Alex wasn't that interested in the science center but I thought it was so cool! I love places like that. I had to remind myself that I had a kid because I was so busy playing with everything and I just left Alex sitting in his stroller.

We will try to go back to NYC at Christmas time but it's hard because that's Sam's finals time. We are going to Hershey this weekend! We already have the tickets. We are going with Sam's sister and her family. It is going to be awesome!
