The Tacoma Rainiers (a triple A baseball team affiliated with Seattle Mariners... In case you didn't know!) Was playing in Austin, TX this last weekend, so of course we went to go show our support! It was great! We drove up saturday night, got a hotel and spent sunday morning exploring the capitol building of Texas.
Then the kids got to play in a bouncy house at the game. At first they were hugging the edges, but after we told them it was like a big bed, they really got into it and were jumping, falling and laughing hysterically! We almost had to send Jordan in to get Oscar out!
The row behind us won free ice cream bars during the game, but one family was so sweet and gave us 2 extra ones that they had! The kids loved that, because even though it was a night game, it was still in the 100's temperature-wise! Yikes!
It was fun to see a lot of Washington fans there too! A lot were Army people that had been stationed at Fort Lewis and were now at Fort Hood, so we got to talk to people about home and I think it made Jordan a little homesick!
It was fun to just relax for the weekend away from the norm. Makayla was SO SURE that we were moving to Austin instead of just on a vacation, so when we left monday morning and got back to our Apt, she was a little confused and kept asking why we weren't living in the hotel anymore! Haha, poor girl!
