On the Road to Milwaukee...

We left my family and drove up through Teton Valley, so I actually/finally got to show Jordan where "I" grew up as opposed to where my family lives now... completely different! ;-) I mean Parker has 3 buildings, Driggs has much more! So I was excited about that.
Then we drove over the Jackson Hole Pass through lots and lots and lots of snow.
Jordan was disappointed that there were no sheep of goats going over the pass...
City boy cracks me up!

AND
Jordan finally got to see a MOOSE! And it was alive!
200 points to me for spotting it!
And another 200 for spotting it's friend ;-)
Now we can check "moose" off on our list of things we want to see

Something else to check off our list...
Mt Rushmore!

A good note to remember...
Always go during the "on" season to out of the way monuments/towns
(ahem... tombstone!)
Because otherwise NOTHING is open!
So if you plan on doing lunch near Mt Rushmore... think again!
The only place that was open was a cute little candy/ice cream shop
And she was nice enough to make us poor, starving travelers some burgers!
And then some ice cream of course ;-)

We stopped to visit a dinosaur park on our way too.
The kids thought the giant dinos were pretty cool :-)

And it was nice to get out of the car and stretch our legs for a bit!

 Great big leap...

Itty bitty jump ;-)

We visited some friends along the way
Makayla and her Fairy Godmother Lindsey!
We met WAY back in the old College Program days
And are so thankful that she has remained so close to us!

We visited Jordan's cousin Kendall and her husband Marc the Firefighter!
He took us to see his station and let the kids play on the fire truck.
Oscar was pretty much in heaven!
They got to "drive" the fire truck and check out the ambulance.
Not to mention the coloring books and stickers! Those firefighters are pretty awesome!

What happened next deserves it's own post...
But I'm too exhausted to write about it all now
So tomorrow good friends!
