We went on a trip to Williamsburg, VA this summer. The last time we were in this area was in 2006 (the year we were MARRIED!) with Jordan's Mom and sister. We saw the "National" house of pancakes and ever since then it has been a running joke with us that it wasn't good enough to go international like IHOP ;-)
We were SO excited to actually be able to EAT there this year! Pretty cool huh?
It was SO hot that day! Anytime we found shade we were THERE!
Jordan and the kids had a "blast" playing with the cannons in the middle of the town. ;-)
We learned how to play a colonial baseball-style game. The ball is on this contraption and you hit it with the cricket bat and the ball flies up in the air and you whack to the people standing in the outfield....
I don't remember the rest of the game ;-)
We also had fun at a colonial style fair on Independence day this year!
The kids got to ride horses (which is HEAVEN for Makayla!)
They had a little petting zoo too. Makayla was a little nervous, but she really does love animals. I love this photo of Oscar and his Daddy, how he's holding his finger as they "sneak" up on the goats!
You know how we LOVE baseball in our house ;-) Here are the kids with the Norfolk Tides mascot signing the foul balls the kids caught!
AND entertaining each other during the actual game ;-)
More baseball! (I think this is a Rock Cat???? oops!)
We've had a lot of fun with the mall across the street too. Auntie Anne's hosted a "learn how to make pretzels" fun day for kids, and I LOVE mall pretzels! So we couldn't miss that!
Look at these proud little pretzel makers!
Enjoying their creations with friends :-)
Love these little girls and their excitement to become moms some day!
Fun at the library it is important to have a good library to go to ;-)
$1 movies at the Regal!
The Spiderman premier! Oscar was so excited! (then he fell asleep...)
From Jordan: Not a Rock Cat. It is from the Bowie Baysox.
