Jordan's Mom got to come out and visit us while we lived in San Antonio.
It was SO MUCH FUN!
Seriously! I love it when she visits!
I already posted about the Crazy Bats of Austin
(well technically I posted about ALL of this, but now there's better pictures ;-) to go with them)
Here's some of our SeaWorld adventure with her.
Oscar LOVES the water... yeah, I don't think I've mentioned that yet right? ;-)
Riding the Carousel
That's them on the right near the top. They had a blast on that one!
(after the worker shut Oscar's fingers in the gate, oops!)
We went extra early to the Shamu show because I wanted to sit up front. Every time we went to SeaWorld there were tiny infants with us... so the splash zone was not a good place to sit. But this time I was SO excited to be up close with the action! We had FRONT ROW SEATS!
Mak may not look very happy in this shot, but that's because every time the whale swam by before the show, we'd yell at her to look at us and smile so we could get a picture... and she missed the whale coming by! It was hilarious and frustrating because we couldn't get a good picture! whew!
Sitting up front was SO worth it though!
Here's Mama and her baby doing a tandem jump!
And here comes the wave that everyone in the splash zone waits for!
This is just the beginning though... I'm fairly certain it lasted for-EVER!
Seriously, the water did NOT STOP COMING!
We were pretty much soaked, much to my delight :-)
But not Makayla's. She was a little upset by the whole thing.
Still, I couldn't stop laughing! Oscar had been sleeping through the show, but that part woke him up too! (Is it bad that I really love this picture of my daughter in distress?)
I think this show was awesome. It was my favorite time going!
We also played in the toddler pool section for a really long time. It was a blast!
We also played in our own pool while she visited.
Oscar LOVES jumping off the rocks!
Actually, both kids do! And it was fun to watch them, over and over again!
We went to downtown San Antonio and walked around. I wish I would have gotten more pictures! We went to the Alamo, the river walk, downtown, all over!
This is a restaurant/museum in downtown San Antonio.
This is one of my all time favorite pictures!
The kids sat and played with this little wind up bunny for a long time!
It was super cute!
We did so much and had so much fun!
Makayla got to share her room with Grandma and she loved it!
We are so thankful that she had the opportunity to come visit!
(and now we're even more thankful that we live so close to her!)
And that's San Antonio...
Next week we hit the road!
You guys were SOAKED! That is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI shared that recipe for the cake the first time I made it for Sam. Here is the recipe. http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/best-ever-chocolate-fudge-layer-91361.aspx?pf=true
That girl totally does look naked! I kept doing double takes all night!
