One of the great "summer moms" found the cutest little mall with a splash pad at it. It was perfect for those HOT HOT HOT summer days in Richmond!
The first time we went to just check it out, the kids were so shocked that we wanted them to get wet in their "real clothes" they kept asking us for swimsuits! HA! The next few times we went, we were more prepared, but as a kid I would have LOVED being able to just run and get wet in my clothes! In fact, I did so on a number of occasions. Thanks Mom! ;-)
We also found a little river watering hole. It was really good for the older kids because it was shallow but had a fun little current, but it was a little stressful for those with babies.
I love finding the random little celebrations that go on everywhere we move to. Every part of this country has such a unique way of living and celebrating, it is so much fun to be able to experience it all!
There was a giant blowup water slide that the kids loved. Oscar climbed all the way to the top.... but then wouldn't come down, so a nice worker climbed up and went down with him.
Makayla just kept wanting to go over and over and over (despite the look of terror on her face! ha!)
Our friend Kaleb has a summer birthday, and it was pirate themed! So much fun!
I loved the little octopus hot dogs and the shark and fish in the blue jello. It was SO HOT though that the jello melted within a few minutes! CRAZY! Good thing it was a pool party!
We got to visit Daddy in the middle of his work day once, and it was a BLAST! We were already out and about when Jordan called and said there was a street fair going on in his area so we met him during his lunch break. (Normally we barely even HEAR from Jordan when he is working so this was an AWESOME treat for us!)
